Corteforte is one of the protagonist of the oenological competition “Verona Wine Top” organized every year by Camera di Commercio of Verona: Amarone della Valpolicella DOC Classico Terre di San Zeno 2007 and Amarone della Valpolicella Classico Vigneti di Osan 2006 are awarded with the Golden Medal of the 11th edition of the prestigous competition of Verona.

The results were communicated on the 5th of June and the prizegiving will be held at Villa Arvedi in Grezzana, on Wednesday the 25th of June at 17,30. The competition, which is representative of the entire wine production of the scaligero territory, is dedicated only to DOCG and DOC wines of Verona and reward the best wines of the territory. The Province of Verona is the first in quality and number of denomination: 11 between DOCG and DOC.

The competition has the patronage of the Ministry of Politiche Agricole Alimentari e Forestali, of the Veneto Region, Verona Municipality, Verona Province, Verona Fiere and has the finality of promotion the wine excellence, to communicate outside of the Region and Nation.

The two days of tasting ended up with the selection made by the Italian Association of Winemaker, Assoenologi. Every year the new edition of the guide is organized by a foreign journalist and this year was the turn of the competent German wine writer and journalist Monika Kellerman.
